Accreditations of Progress

Accreditations of progress are either Team-based or Organization-based public acknowledgments of growth and improvement. 

Accreditation of Progress for
Agile Organizations

Requirements:

  • Having worked with an ACA Agile Organizations Accreditor for at least 100 hours.
  • <Recomended> Having at least 5 people holding a valid Agile credential (examples are: Certified ScrumMaster CSM® Certified Scrum Product Owner CSPO® or Certified Agile Leadership CAL by the Scrum Alliance, Professional Scrum Master™ (PSM II / PSM III), Professional Scrum Product Owner™ (PSPO II / PSPO III) by Scrum.org).
  • Being designated by an ACA Agile Organizations Accreditor. 

Accreditation of Progress for
Scrum Teams

Requirements:

  • Having worked with ACA Scrum Teams Accreditor for at least 25 hours.
  • <Recommended> Having at least 1 Scrum Master holding a valid SM credential (for example Certified ScrumMaster CSM® by the Scrum Alliance or Professional Scrum Master™ (PSM II) by Scrum.org) and a Scrum Product Owner  holding a valid PO credential (for example Certified Scrum Product Owner CSPO® by the Scrum Alliance or Professional Scrum Product Owner™ (PSPO II) by Scrum.org).
  • Being designated by a ACA Scrum Teams Accreditor

Accreditations of Practice

Accreditations of practice corroborate practical experience of agile professionals, that is verified during an evidence-based evaluation interview performed by an ACA-Accredited Coach.

Accreditation of Practice for
Agile Leaders

Requirements to receive a AOP-AL:

In a one-on-one or small group accreditation call during a 1 hour interview (per person) your Accreditor will require you to: 

  • Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience as a leader and/or change agent in an organization (contract, pictures, written recommendations ..).
  • Answer 2 questions related to Business Agility and the candidate answered in a way that demonstrated proficiency and deep knowledge.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 cultural shift in an organization that enables/supports agility influenced by him/her.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 org. structure change (formal or informal) that enables/supports agility influenced by him/her.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 process implementation in an organization that enables/supports agility influenced by him/her.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 team or area improvement process and its outcomes.
  • Provide evidence of at least 2 individual improvement process and its outcomes.
  • Showcase 1 case study of transforming an Organization or Area into enhanced Agility.
  • Share your self improvement goals as a Leader.

Your accreditor will evaluate your candidacy, provide feedback and decide on your Accreditation of Practice based on his/her observations. Participating in an Accreditation interview does NOT guarantee the candidate to be accredited.

Accreditation of Practice for
Scrum Masters

Requirements to receive a AOP-SM:

In a one-on-one or small group accreditation call in a 1 hour interview (per person) your Accreditor will require you to: 

  • Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master based on evidence (contract, pictures, written recommendations ..).
  • Answer 2 questions related to general Scrum knowledge (according to Scrum guide).
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 training activity and its outcomes
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 mentoring exercise, 
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 event facilitation (single team or multi-team) and its outcomes, 
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 team or individual improvement process and its outcomes.
  • Showcase 1 case study description of serving Devs, serving a PO or serving the Organization.
  • Share your self improvement goals as a Scrum Master.

Your accreditor will evaluate your candidacy, provide feedback and decide on your Accreditation of Practice based on his/her observations. Participating in an Accreditation interview does NOT guarantee the candidate to be accredited.

Accreditation of Practice for
Product Owners

Requirements to receive a AOP-PO:

In a one-on-one or small group accreditation call in a 1 hour interview (per person) your Accreditor will require you to: 

  • Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience as a Product Owner based on evidence (contract, pictures, written recommendations ..).
  • Answer 2 questions related to performing the role of the Product Owner.
  • Provide evidence on sustaining 2 real life product goals.
  • Provide evidence on product Strategy for 2 real products.
  • Provide evidence of a facilitation activity on empathizing with Customers and Users.
  • Provide one case study of Product hypothesis validation.
  • Provide one case study on working with a Product Backlog demonstrating prioritization methods, refinement, and collaboration with the team .
  • Share your self improvement goals as a Product Owner.

Agile Advisors

Requirements to receive a AOP-AA:

In a one-on-one or small group accreditation call during a 1 hour 30 min interview (per person) your Accreditor will require you to:
  • Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience as an Advisor, Consultant and/or Coach in an organization (contract, pictures, written recommendations ..).
  • Answer 2 questions related to Business Agility and the candidate answered in a way that demonstrated proficiency and deep knowledge.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 customer engagement where you provided new information related to Agile to a client in a top management workshop.
  • Provide evidence of at least 2 customer engagements where you helped solve a client’s problem enabling/supporting agility.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 customer engagement where you made an documented diagnosis that led to a redefinition of the original problem.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 customer engagement that involved making recommendations based on a documented diagnosis.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 customer engagement where you assisted with the implementation of recommended solutions.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 facilitated conversation at a customer to build a consensus, make decisions and/or create commitment around a corrective action
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 customer engagement that involved facilitating client learning in a multi-day training or workshop format—that is, teaching clients how to resolve similar problems in the future.
  • Provide evidence of at least 1 customer engagement where you co-created with your customer a plan and/or process to ensure the customer to permanently improve organizational effectiveness without your future participation.
    Showcase 1 case study of a customer engagement involving advising an Organization or Area into enhanced Agility.
  • Share your Agile toolbox and your self improvement goals as an Agile Advisor.

Accreditations of excellence corroborate outstanding proficiency and practical experience of agile professionals, that is verified during a comprehensive and challenging evidence-based evaluation interview performed by an ACA-Accredited Coach.
